Thylogale Track

D'Aguilar National Park

Walk from Jolly's Lookout to Boombana. The walk is 4.5 kms one way, however you're better off walking back along the path, not the road. Walking along Mt Nebo Road is dangerous with all of its blind corners

Comments

Very wet day, I was the only one out there. Flat and easy track, beautiful.

Nice even rainforest walk. Motorbike scags spoil the tranquillity of the western portion parallel to the main road through. One way track, not a circuit.

An easy walk, level and shady, with a bit of rain forest and quite a few big, impressive trees. On the right, after leaving Jollys Lookout, maybe a few hundred metres in, is the shell of an old tree trunk showing the signs of the tree having been felled by loggers using axes and planks. Expect to spy pademelons.

Completed this as part of a 10km walk - Egernia Circuit, Thylogale Track & Pitta Circuit. Started and finished at Jolly’s lookout. A terrific level walk with minimal steps. Pademelons, birds & a lace monitor. Very quiet & peaceful.

Easy walk nice to combine with Egernia circuit

Easy walk but enjoyable. Looking forward to other walks close by.

Jollys Lookout closed for maintenance - so had to part up the hill (fire trail) as it was busy

Great walk, took two and half hours. Google maps doesn't quite take you to Jolly's lookout, have to keep driving and look for signs on left if coming from the gap direction.

Did this walk today with the kids. Was nice and level, some vines to climb over in some areas. Very walk but watch for the uneven pathway.

This is an awesome easy walk the whole family can do. Go up to Jollys lookout after and enjoy the view

Lovely walk. We spotted 3 pademelons and a black cockatoo.

Lovely walk Boombana to Jolly's and back. Wonderful to eat some fresh croissants we brought from town at the lookout. (Toilets nicer there too.) The highlight was seeing several red-necked pademelons along the way.

A lovely switch back walk that can be done with ease. Some slight but nice changes in vegetation. You can start either end but we prefer to have a break mid-way at Jolly's lookout and then head back from there. It's a shame the track doesn't continue to jolly's lookout and that you have to walk up the road.

Lovely walk that winds all the way to the carpark that joins onto the Egernia Circuit. There's some beautiful viewpoints and the track is well shaded. I managed to complete the track (there and back) in 2 hours at a steady pace. Will definitely be back.

An easy stroll, carried our 7 month old on my back. Agree with previous comments that it would be nice to do it in reverse (and take a picnic).

Easy and enjoyable

Lovely walk, went from Jollys Lookout to Boombana and back. Takes about 1hr 15 min each way (4km each way). Although I think it would be nice to do it the opposite way (Boombana to Jollys Lookout) so that you have the beautiful Jollys Lookout as your reward at the halfway point.

I started with the Egernia Circuit (1.5km) then continued onto the Thylogale Track then Pitta Circuit which was 11.5km return from Jolly’s Lookout. Wonderful and quiet. Loads of birds and wallabies.

Nice easy walk. It’s pretty flat. On another note I have to say that it’s really dry in the area. We’ve been up there many times and I’ve never seen so many trees with dead leaves.
