Route/Trail notes

A ery well defined path with concrete switch backs for a few miles up the west rim. You get to a sandy plateau with a junction. Up and to the left follows the west rim, right will take you to Angels Landing. At this point it gets dangerous. As the most popular hike of the park it is always heavy traffic. It becomes a scramble with chains for support, and is not for the weak of heart with massive drops on either side and plenty of smooth and sandy areas to lose your footing. Not to mention traffic jams. but once you get to the top, amazing views. Amazing.

Comments

Not so busy on a weekday and easy for a scrambler like myself. But the views. Amazing. And the people you meet. It's cliche and required to climb it, but totally worth it
