Getting there

Start this hike by driving to Iwamura Town and walking to the Castle Ruins. Follow the ruins upwards to the peak. Afterwards, continue onto a road where there will be a fork in the road. Do not follow the road that says best view of rural Japan, instead continue down the other path and you will find a narrow track that goes into the forest. Follow this and you will be on your way.

Route/Trail notes

The route only has signs in Japanese so make sure you can read the kanji for the places that you want to go to. Note that the path is incredibly narrow at points and may be slippery. There are a few shrines and temples along the mountain path that are worth checking out. Not that many views. Best one is the at the temple just after Mitsumoriyama.
