Route/Trail notes

A detailed description of the walk!

Start at the board walk across the rainforest floor (watch out for falling palm fronds, they come from a long way up!). The board walk is aprox 1/3rd of the way. The track continues on over Terrania creek with a foot bridge then over low tree roots and rocks fashioned into steps following the creek up to the falls. When at the falls today it felt like a natural airconditioner. Swimming is prohibited to protect the vital habitat of the Fleay’s barred frog.

Permits/Costs

Do you need any permits? What's the cost?

Beautiful Rainforest - so fortunate that people cared enough to fight for its preservation. Today was the first day the track was open after flood repairs. Very easy walk; not much water over the falls but still stunning; one very drowsy carpet snake on the way up - out of sight on the way back. Great drive to get there; a lot of potholes on both the gravel and sealed roads - keeps you alert! Can't wait to try the other walks nearby.

It doesn't take 90 minutes to walk. Took about 45, which was a bit disappointing. It's a pretty walk, not difficult at all, no hills to walk up and down. There hasn't been much rain so the falls weren't in full flow.

Despite it being a warm day, it was freezing in the rainforest. This didn't stop a group of selfish tossers from swimming in the pool where signs say not to swim. Who cares about an endangered species of frog anyway? Gotta get those underwater photos!

💦 She's flowing alright 💦
Great little walk! I love how the trail meanders alongside the creek. Beautiful natural details from the lichen and moss covered rocks in the palm forest, to huge strangler figs, and many many quaint little rockpools. The rocks on the base of the waterfalls can be slippery. Saw a few people swimming here which was super disappointing as it is prohibited to protect an endangered froggy friend 🐸

Easy scenic walk at the end of a long gravel road. Bit rough in my car but got there ok. Falls are beautiful.
