Wollomombi Walk to Chandler Falls Lookout

Oxley Wild Rivers National Park

This walk is a part of Oxley Wild Rivers National Park and gives spectacular views of Wollomombi and Chandler Gorge and Falls. The three lookout allows you to gaze out over the highest waterfall in New South Wales at 220m.

Getting there:

From the Waterfall Way between Ebor and Armidale, take Wollomombi Falls Road (signposted) into Oxley Wild Rivers National Park turning left to the Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area and car park.

Route/Trail notes.

Walk starts at Wollomombi Falls Picnic Area and sign posted to the left. The track is well defined and passed through the Dog Fence before arriving at Eagle View Lookout. From here the track cuts inland to the bridge crossing over Wollomombi River and back to the cliff edge at Wollomombi Falls Lookout and then on to Chandler Falls Lookout.

Return by the same route.

Overnighters can stay at Wollomombi Campground (fees apply).

The views of the gorges and falls are awe inspiring and you just have to get to the next lookout as they get better and better.

A very nice walk through flowering wattles following the edge of the gorge. Three lookouts along the way.
