Comments

This is a leg burner with no ‘reward’. Since the Telstra Tower and Café closed during Covid, now never to be reopened, there is absolutely no view from the top and no reason for anyone to drive to the top let alone hike. Cut the trees back and it could be an awesome 360° vista.
I choose the route up through the Botanic Gardens, which at least provided some interest and a great café for a coffee and a bite to eat when you got back.

Tower still closed. Combined the return walk with the Botanical Garden. Black Mountain Gate opens 9.30am.

Great walk up with fantastic views. Did the upper circuit & returned via National Trail Fire trails.

Walked this from the CBD so, a total of 10km. A great walk but very very dry! Also went up the Telstra Tower for brilliant views ($7.50 per adult).
