Sylvesters Lookout
(Main Range National Park)From Sylvesters Lookout carpark follow an easy walking track to outstanding views. Even though they maybe limited but still worth the walk.
Getting there
From Cunninghams Gap; go past the picnic ground on the right next on the left is the main range ranger's and information centre on the left. Turn right into Goomburra Rd (Cedar Route14) then turn right onto Inverramsy Road. Then the road changes to gravel. From here on some of the low crossings maybe flooded after heavy rain. BE VERY CAREFUL if driving regular cars. Four wheel drives should have no problem.
Croos a grid onto Forestry Reserve Road. At the Y junction continue ahead to Goomburra camping area go to the left and the following walks are a bit further from here North Branch trail, Araurcaria Falls, Sylvesters Lookout, Hole-in-the-wall, Mount Castle Lookout and Winder Track.

Also checked out start of track to hole-in-the-wall. Was very clear for at least first 15 minutes. Didn't go any further.Belinda Cruickshank on 23 Apr, 2011
Nice easy walk to a lookout with good views.Paul Elliott on 21 Dec, 2010
Had a look at the pad to hole in the wall but seemed to be very overgrown,I would suggest plenty of personal protection if taking this routeBoris Zoubakin on 27 Feb, 2010
An easy walk through the rainforest. Many types of fungus attached to fallen logs. Becareful of exposed roots when wet. And great views present themselves after a short walk.
