Scrub Road bush camp walk

Getting there
From Mount Glorious Road, the campsite is accessed after walking 4km along Scrub Road. Along the way, stop at Enoggera Creek to enjoy the stunning scenery of the headwaters. Scrub Road is a 15-minute drive from Walkabout Creek in The Gap. An alternative route to the campsite is walking 5.8km along South Boundary Road, off Mount Nebo Road. South Boundary Road is a 20-minute drive from Walkabout Creek.

The old track(dirt road) is of rocky surface so you may slip when wet. Walking down to the creek is a high light of this track. Stay a moment and enjoy the view. Before heading up the hill all the way to the camp ground. (I had phone reception most of the way and at the camp).
There is water at the camp ground but as always try and bring your own water or filter and contain at the creek before coming up to the camp. There is a fire pit there as well as a bbq plate and a storm shelter.

Just before crossing the Enoggera creek, on the left follow the rocks to the waterhole and then a faint track appears on the bank. This is a great spot to have a cup of coffee on the banks of the creek. It's only a 500m diversion but well worth the short walk.http://www.youtube.com/user/TheKendo72

It took 1hr 15min to walk this track if you don't count rest stops or time for photos etc. It was also great to see a few people out on the remote tracks. While I was having lunch I saw an elderly couple walking past my camp. And when I was leaving a couple was walking up to the campground.The campsite being at the top of the hill will make it a little prone to windy conditions but also won't be so cold as the lower sections in the mornings.
A light sprinkle at lunchtime but nothing to worry about. Hope you get out this weekend.

Loved rock hopping down Enoggera creek and walking further than the shelter was a bit steep on the way out.
