Bald Rock

 (Bald Rock National Park)

Bald Rock is a large granite monolith near the Queensland-New South Wales Border. The relatively short walk provides great views of surrounding Bald Rock National Park and neighbouring Girraween National Park.

Getting there

From the carpark take the walk to Bald Rock after a couple hundred meters you come to a Y take the right (straight) this way is the hardest way up. Keep following the track until you come out of the bush and meet the bottom of Bald Rock.

From here the is a white arrow marking the direction upwards. As usual follow the standard white markings up

Route/Trail notes

Water cannot be drunk. Filtration and boiling is required.

Permits/Costs

There is a self registration area for parking and camping. The camp grounds are further back from the carpark.

Is a great walk up, can be steep. But the views are fantastic.
