Sylvesters Lookout

 (Main Range National Park)

From Sylvesters Lookout carpark follow an easy walking track to outstanding views. Even though they maybe limited but still worth the walk.

Getting there

From Cunninghams Gap; go past the picnic ground on the right next on the left is the main range ranger's and information centre on the left. Turn right into Goomburra Rd (Cedar Route14) then turn right onto Inverramsy Road. Then the road changes to gravel. From here on some of the low crossings maybe flooded after heavy rain. BE VERY CAREFUL if driving regular cars. Four wheel drives should have no problem.

Croos a grid onto Forestry Reserve Road. At the Y junction continue ahead to Goomburra camping area go to the left and the following walks are a bit further from here North Branch trail, Araurcaria Falls, Sylvesters Lookout, Hole-in-the-wall, Mount Castle Lookout and Winder Track.

Watchout for exposed roots, Ideal when the weather is clear.

An easy walk through the rainforest. Many types of fungus attached to fallen logs. Becareful of exposed roots when wet. And great views present themselves after a short walk.
