Point Pure

 (Brooyar State Forest)

A VERY short walk to a nice lookout. Also a good place for some rock climbing if you're into that.

Distance:

150m

Duration:

0.1 hours

Difficulty:

Easy

Getting there

Follow the directions on the Brooyar State Forest page. A few kilometres after Peterson Rd turns to dirt a fork is reached with Peterson Rd marked straight ahead and another road heading up the hill to the right (there are numerous smaller roads branching off before this... so pick the right one :).

The Point Pure carpark is marked, approximately 2.6km along the road.

Route/Trail notes

The walk is a short, well marked 150 metre track to a lookout platform.

A track also leads off from the left of this lookout to the bottom of the cliff. This is the access route for the climbing crag. Please be respectful of the climbers and don't attempt to climb without the proper equipment and training.

Good rock face for a first time climber. Pretty good view at the lookout, very easy and short walk.
